Agenda:
9:30AM: Hunger Free Campus Coalition members (advocates and students from around the state) begin to gather in the Gardner Auditorium lobby.
10:00AM: The hearing before the Joint Committee on Higher Education commences.
11:00AM-12:00PM: Meet and Greet with the Department of Higher Education Commissioner, Noe Ortega, with reflections from lead House sponsor, Representative Andy Vargas, over lunch. This will take place in the Members’ Lounge, room 348.
12:00PM- 3:30PM: Student-led lobby meetings with legislators to urge co-sponsorship on the bills and expanded funding in the FY25 state budget. Sign up here so that we know you’re coming!
